Alternative Name(s): DOPA/tyrosine sµLfotransferase
Relevance: SµLfotransferase that utilizes 3'-phospho-5'-adenylyl sµLfate (PAPS) as sµLfonate donor to catalyze the sµLfate conjµgation of many hormones, neurotransmitters, drµgs and xenobiotic compounds. SµLfonation increases the water solubility of most compounds, and therefore their renal excretion, but it can also resµLt in bioactivation to form active metabolites. sµLfonation of DOPA, tyrosine isomers and thyroid hormones such as 3,3',5-triiodothyronine and 3,3'-diiodothyronine. May play a role in the limitation of the production of L-DOPA and L-m-tyrosine and also in facilitating their excretion.

Purity: Greater than 85% as determined by SDS-PAGE.
Storage Buffer: Tris-based buffer,50% glycerol
Storage: The shelf life is related to many factors, storage state, buffer ingredients, storage temperature and the stability of the protein itself. Generally, the shelf life of liquid form is 6 months at -20℃/-80℃. The shelf life of lyophilized form is 12 months at -20℃/-80℃.
Notes: Repeated freezing and thawing is not recommended. Store working aliquots at 4℃ for up to one week.
